Unfortunate Timing
I missed the ResNetNW Conference held at WWU this last weekend thanks to some sort of nasty bug that hit the night before. I was light-headed, tired, feeling a little pukey and very feverish, so I figured it was best if I didn’t infectall the nice conference attendees. It sounds like the whole deal was a great success without me, so it wasn’t all bad.
New shared packages of VSF and our Shared Classes were made live yesterday. No feedback yet, but neither one was any sort of a monumental change. Just for kicks I’m going to make a new SINC package in the next day or two. The current one is laughably out of date.
I was talking with one of my coworkers the other day about how to redesign Keys so that it is easier to use and maintain. The current version is a nightmare, lots of PHP writing out javascript with no standard spacing or naming convention anywhere. Very hard to read, let alone fix bugs or add features. It’s nice that one of our app overhauls will be done by someone else, I think I’m starting to get a reputation for rewriting stuff instead of simply improving upon the base. I won’t say I haven’t earned that, but I think that the readability and understandability of the new code justifies the choices that were made.
New stuff is more exciting than old stuff anyways.
