This can be done without a userscript, without GM, even accessible through Firefox's option.

This script is great, however it doesn't work on every bit of text:

http://diveintogreasemonkey.org/helloworld/editing.html

http://greasemonkey.mozdev.org/

This is easy for me to notice since I am using green text on a black background with yellow links.

All your website are belong to me.

Save it to your desktop, edit the values inside the javascript and reload it. There's no good method for doing it simply, hopefully someone will create a more robust version.

This was a quick hack to teach myself greasemonkey scripting, there should be much more elgant solutions out there.

You could try going to the manage user scripts section and putting in the sites you don't want to be affected in the exclude list. It might seem pretty annoying, but it's one way. You could also just choose to disable it for your session.

BTW, thanks for the great script.

thanks for your efforts ... for me, and perhaps others, this color fix tool would be more valuable if it were an on-demand R-click option, invokable when I encounter one of those reader-hostile sites that insists on using a dark background with lite text, rather than applying the color changes to *every* site I visit ... how difficult is that to implement? ... thanks for even considering my idea -- all the best

Install Firefox from http://getfirefox.com
Install GreaseMonkey from http://greasemonkey.mozdev.org
Restart Firefox.
Right-click the link to the script, and select "Install User Script".
Refresh the page to see the changes.
