Progress on anything at ResTek has come to a complete and utter standstill. There’s nothing worthwhile for me to do. Sure, I could go look into taking care of some of the minor UI changes Nick has requested, but I still don’t even agree with all of them. I guess it doesn’t matter that much, he’s a user and knows what he wants better than I do.

Unfortunately, most of the other bugs are Mike things, and while I’ve learned a ton about server admin stuff I’m nowhere near capable of doing that. So I’m left sitting in the office trying daydreaming about rewriting surveys. I created some of the initial classes I think we’ll be needing. They’re very rough skeletons, but actually playing around with the code gives me a better idea of how to do stuff than just thinking about it. I’m planning on developing this similarly to the SecurityCheck Frontend. Classes & their methods first, then UI code. It makes debugging a lot faster, and the code ends up being tighter because I develop with a set target already in mind.

We really need a Kulshan meeting with the decision-makers present to get some priorities for this quarter. I’m running out of self-motivated work that I can justify charging for. :(
