I am looking for a job that will allow me to flex the problem-solving
skills I've built through the years by coming up with ingenious solutions to
difficult problems on the web.
Work Experience:
* July 2007 – Present : Web Developer : Yahoo!
One of three web developers responsible for the new Yahoo! Video’s look and feel.
Responsibilities included not only layout and interactions but also CSS/JS
optimization, PHP framework programming, and extending the PHP-based CMS used for
editorial programming of the site.
* Summer 2006 : Frontend Engineering Intern : Yahoo!
Acted as a full part of the My Yahoo! team and contributed to development
of a brand-new service. Work consisted of extensive Javascript, CSS, and HTML
mixed with Object-Oriented PHP. Was solely responsible for implementing the look
and feel of several components as well as realizing UED designs.
* Jan 2004 - Feb 2007 : Web Application Developer : Restek Program at WWU
Developed and supported multiple web-based tools in support of both Restek staff,
students and other campus departments. Specialized in integrating server-side
programming with client-side scripting to produce rich, degradable interfaces
for web applications.
* Summer 2003 : Intern : ColoCenters, Inc
Interned at ColoCenters Inc., providers of bandwidth-neutral collocation
services. Gained first-hand experience with advanced networking technology,
including fiber-optic, DS3, and T1 connections. Also learned about large
network topography and configuration, as well as router setup and
maintenance. Acted as programming assistant, adding functionality to
existing Crossover Request system using PHP.
* Jan 2003 - Dec 2003 : Consultant : Restek Program at WWU
Worked with a diverse staff troubleshooting student’s network connectivity
issues on the campus network. Other duties included solving operating system
problems, hardware conflicts, virus infection removal, and teaching students
how to be responsible computer users. Was member of Staff Selection Committee,
responsible for hiring new staff and conducting interviews.
* Aug 2002 - Dec 2003 : Consultant : ATUS at WWU
Worked at Help Desk as a consultant. Duties involved lab computer maintenance,
general trouble-shooting, phone, email and in-person support, file conversion,
and other miscellaneous duties. Volunteered for several in depth web
programming projects.

BS in Computer Science. Also took extra classes to receive Web Programming
Certificate through the Internet Studies Center at WWU.
